my perspective & ethos

hello! I’m Sarah, an educator, gardener, chef, herbalist, and artist dedicated to sharing my skills and magic in a way that upholds my values of sustainability and comfort.

I’ve dedicated my career to helping folks maximize the value of their resources in a holistic, anti-capitalist way. The finite yet abundant, plentiful yet precious nature of plants informs my work at every level and I strive to stretch resources as much as possible by practicing reverence and honor in frugality. I offer a challenge to the supremacy of convenience as well as opportunities to connect with community and the natural world; to open up to and engage with ancestral memories through the traditional work of living.

These days, my business is focused on building connections with conscientious consumers looking to elevate their meals with seasonal craft condiments. I share my wares at farmers markets and through likeminded small shops, as well as through my webshop. Additionally, I offer gardening and food educational services through seasonal workshops and 1:1 coaching. You can learn about those here!

I am involved in my community in various ways, including as an employee of other woman owned and operated food businesses and as a preschool teacher at Mulberry Forest School. You can learn more about my other work here.

I welcome partnerships and collaborations: you can reach me at any time via my contact page.
