garden guidance

garden guidance

from $50.00

garden guidance is a bespoke service for folks at any experience level who would like support and advice with their home or community garden. garden is a flexible term, so this could be your windowsill, containers on a balcony, raised beds, transforming your lawn into a full traditional kitchen garden…

this guidance includes a collaborative visioning and planning session as well as a pdf handout with tips and resources for design, care & maintenance, pest prevention, harvest, crop rotation, and everything else you need to know about your garden!

garden guidance is offered in packages of increasing time— the basic guidance is one 1-hour session (phone, zoom, or in person as applicable or desired) and a pdf with all the tips and resources I can offer. all packages include a 15 minute exploratory call prior to the 1-hour guidance session.

if you’d like to make a greater commitment now, you can purchase garden guidance for 2, 3, or 4 hour-long sessions— these are 1-hour sessions once a week or once a month until the package is fulfilled. once you have purchased a garden guidance package, I will email you to schedule a time to chat.

my specialty is making the most out of small spaces & limited budgets, and with this offering I hope to support folks in overcoming the fear of failure and scarcity mindset that often holds us back from getting fully engaged in reciprocal relationships with plants. my clients are new gardeners with no experience, folks with farming experience looking to set up a community garden, plant people who want to move beyond houseplants and windowsill herbs, and you, I hope!

read more under the “offerings” tab above and please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions before purchasing!

With just one session, we’ve been able to begin a [small rooftop] garden that will provide us with fresh, local veggies all summer long… What I love most about working with Sarah is her emphasis on education. Through working with Sarah we are learning about growing our own food in a way that works for us, our needs, our space, and are becoming lifelong gardeners!
